How does C.A.S.E. help?
C.A.S.E. provides access to a food pantry for those who are in need. Our food pantry provides a range of nourishing food items, from non-perishable goods to fresh produce, when available.
C.A.S.E. limits its assistance to persons who are legal residents of the city of El Segundo, CA. Potential clients are screened to assess their needs and determine how best to fulfill those needs.
How is C.A.S.E. supported?
C.A.S.E. is supported by churches, schools, large and small businesses, civic organizations, service clubs, scout troops, and generous individuals.
Additionally, C.A.S.E. is operated solely by volunteers, and none of the board members or officers of C.A.S.E. receive any compensation for their service to the community.
If someone is homeless, can C.A.S.E. help them?
At C.A.S.E., our goal is to help residents of El Segundo stay housed and prevent them from experiencing homelessness. While we want to support everyone in need, unfortunately, we don’t have the resources to assist individuals who are already homeless.
It’s important to note that C.A.S.E. is not a welfare system, but rather a program focused on prevention. We believe that by working together, we can keep our community strong and thriving.
What items does the pantry need?
The pantry always needs shelf-stable “pantry” food (canned, boxed, or dried); hygiene, and cleaning supplies. Specific “most needed” items can change frequently based on a variety of factors.

Does C.A.S.E. accept perishable food donations?
“Cool cellar” food that typically lasts a few weeks or more, such as apples, root vegetables, onions and potatoes, citrus fruit, hard squash, eggs, etc, are always welcome.
However, since C.A.S.E. has only limited access to refrigeration and freezer storage, and the pantry is open twice a month, timing is a key factor for food that could spoil in two weeks or less.
If you have questions regarding fresh perishable food such as fruits, vegetables and baked goods please use the Contact Us button and a CASE volunteer will get back to you.
Where is the pantry located?
The C.A.S.E. food pantry is located in El Segundo. For the privacy of the clients C.A.S.E. serves, the pantry location is disclosed only to key volunteers, and to clients once they are screened and accepted into the program
When is the pantry open?
The C.A.S.E. pantry is open twice a month, but we accept and store donations all the time.
